The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the trees are blossoming. Spring is on its way, and you know what that means…time to do your Spring Cleaning! Okay, maybe it’s not the most exciting thing in the world, but the feeling of a clean and organized home can put a little “spring” in anyone’s step. It can feel overwhelming, but we have a few tips:
Dusting
This is a biggie! You may already give some everyday items a wipe-down, but this is the perfect opportunity to dust along the ceilings, walls, baseboards, and any other place you can think of! A broom is handy for this chore, but if you’re looking for something a little more heavy duty this ceiling duster will work wonders. It can also get those ceiling fans too! Bye, bye allergens and dust mites!
Clean Up the Yard/Patio Furniture
Pick up fallen branches or neglected toys, toss out dead plants and weeds, and give your outdoor furniture a good scrub. A pressure washer gets the job done quickly, but if you don’t have one on hand…simple soap and water will do the trick.
Don’t Forget Windows
Windows the eyes of your house, after all. Just some paper towels or a microfiber cloth and a cleaning solution will have them shining like new! Get them inside and outside; you will want to enjoy that Springtime view.
Decluttering
Grab a big box and start room by room for the ultimate decluttering experience. Toss out expired items, broken items beyond repair, paper clutter, old makeup products, or toiletries. As for clothing, toys, and shoes…you can donate those items, or if you’re up to it…have a yard sale. Your yard is all cleaned up, after all!
